This year we got to celebrate Christmas in a new part of Australia - WAGGA WAGGA. Rozzy invited us to join her and her family as they celebrated in her sister's town. It was so much fun!
To get there Roz and us drove up there with her grandfather. The trip that was to take 4 hours took us 7.5 hours. It was a good drive and a chance to see the country side of NSW. We made a few stops along the way to visit a sheep farmer and his wife (a very nice couple) as well as to see the giant ram (pretty cool statue).
When we arrived we found out that we were staying in a gorgeous house that has 5 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, an in-ground pool, and an open concept kitchen/dinning room. It was great. Some of us stayed here while some stayed with Poppy and Gilly.
It was a great week of relaxing, swimming, playing a ton of Wii, watching movies on the 50" TV, going to church, having a jam session, going to the botanical gardens (this one included a trip to the ER for Grant to get his arm put into a cast as he broke it falling off the flying fox), and celebrating family.
Christmas day was a great day filled with church, celebrating Jesus's birthday, opening presents, BBQ lunch, pie and Christmas pudding. It was great getting to be there as the kids opened their presents and seeing the joy that each one brought them.
Though sickness almost took us all down it was a great week all round and a great way to prepare for the up coming week of Jillarooing in Bingara.
